Musician And Journalist John Tesh Was Born In 1952 In New York. Music Was Always A Part Of His Life. At The Age Of Six, John Played Piano And Trumpet, Studying With Private Teachers From The Juilliard School. In High School, He Was Named To The New York State Symphonic Orchestra. John Traveled To The Tar Heel State To Study Textile Chemistry At North Carolina State University. There, He Took A Course Elective In Television And Radio That Would Alter His Career Path For Years To Come.

In 1974, John Began His Career In Entertainment When He Took A Part Time Job Reading The News With N.C. Broadcaster Bill Leslie At Wkix-Am In Raleigh. From There, He Worked As A News Anchor In Markets Like Nashville, Raleigh, And Orlando Before Moving To New York At 23 Years Old To Be A Correspondent For WCBS-Tv.

In 1982, Tesh Left WCBS For The CBS Sports Television Network Where He Announced And Composed Music For Events Including The Tour De France, World Gymnastics Championships And World Cup Ski Racing. He Went On To Host The Wimbledon Tennis Broadcasts And Gymnastics For NBC At The 1992 And ‘96 Olympic Games.

In 1986 John Became The Co-Host Of The Television Show “Entertainment Tonight” Where He Remained For The Next Ten Years.

In The Late 80S, He Toured With Yanni To Promote His First Album “Tour De France.” He Performed As A Multi-Keyboardist, Playing Yanni’s Orchestral Parts Live, On Stage. Tesh’s Music Career Took Off In 1994 When He And His Wife, Connie Sellecca, Created The PBS Hit Concert “Live At Red Rocks” With The Colorado Symphony”. During The Concert, Olympians Performed Gymnastics Routines Choreographed To His Music.

As A Composer, Tesh Is Credited With Creating Dozens Of Award Winning Sports Themes For NBC And CBS And He Scored Howie Mandel’s Animated Series “Bobby’s World For 5 Years.” John’s “NBA On NBC Theme Song, Known As “Roundball Rock” Has Made Numerous Top 5 Lists As “One Of The Greatest Sports Themes Of All Time”.

In 2003 John And Connie Created (And Host) The Intelligence For Your Life-Intelligence For Your Health Media Brands Which Are, To This Day, Nationally Syndicated On Radio, Television And Facebook. The Programs Reach More Than 20 Million Listeners/Viewers Each Week.

Throughout His Career, John Tesh Has Sold Over Eight Million Records Won Six Emmy’s, Four Gold Albums, Two Grammy Nominations, And An Associated Press Award For Investigative Journalism.
