Kannapolis – The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame has announced the names of this year’s inductees. The ceremony will take place Thursday, October 17.

North Carolina Music Hall of Fame Announces Major Sponsors for 2011 Induction Ceremony – Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury and Hanes Brands of Winston-Salem have become the first major corporate sponsors of the NC Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

The other sponsors, to date, include the City of Kannapolis, Castle Cook Realty, First Community Bank, Curb Family Foundation, Curb Records and the Holiday Inn Express – Concord.

This year’s induction ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 13th at the David H. Murdock Core Lab Building in Kannapolis.

This year’s inductees include Country/Rock-a-Billy legend, Billy “Crash” Craddock of Greensboro, Grammy award winning tenor Anthony Dean Griffey of High Point, Kinston native Maceo Parker, a Jazz/Funk sax player who was James Brown’s sideman, Singer/Songwriter Ben Folds from Winston-Salem who is also a judge on NBC’s “Sing Off,” and contemporary Christian recording artist Michael English of Wallace, songwriter/playwright / author Billy Edd Wheeler from Swannanoa, songwriter, John D. Loudermilk of Durham, and the late Blue Grass, singer/songwriter/musician Clyde Moody.

The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame announces this year’s induction ceremony will be open to the public. It will be held Thursday, October 7, 2010 in the David H. Murdock Core Laboratory Building in Kannapolis, NC.  The evening will include a reception with the inductees, dinner and induction ceremony with a variety of entertainment.

Most of the inductees and/or their families will attend. Several artists are expected to perform. Tickets are available on the Hall of Fame web site northcarolinamusichalloffame.org or by calling the museum at (704) 934-2320. The museum is open daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and weekends by appointment/reservation.
