Kannapolis, N.C. –  The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame has announced the date for its annual Rhythm & Run 5K fundraiser. The road race will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 8:00 am in Kannapolis. The event will include a ½ mile kids fun run titled the “Half Note” for children 12 & under. The Half Note fun run will begin at 8:00 am and the 5K portion will begin at 8:30 am. Start and finish line location is at North Research Campus Drive, Kannapolis, N.C. 28081.

The Rhythm & Run 5K is an annual fundraiser event for the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame & Museum, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All proceeds go to the NC Music Hall of Fame Museum to continue giving visitors a great experience as they learn about North Carolina’s music heritage.

You may register to run or walk the event online at: RhythmAndRunRace.org. Registration will be $25 until February 28, then increase to $30 until race day. On race day fees increase to $35. Half Note registration is $10 through race day.

Packet pick up days will be held on Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31 at the museum located at 600 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis, N.C. 28081.

Walkers and beginners are welcome and jogging strollers are permitted. Parking is available in the parking garage, the Kannapolis Train Station, and other designated parking in downtown Kannapolis. Group discounts are also available to groups of 10 or more registrants. Call for a rate.

The primary purpose of the Hall of Fame is to recognize, promote and commemorate the musical heritage of the State of North Carolina. The museum exhibits legendary musicians, singers, songwriters, music executives, and producers from all genres of music in its Hall.
