North Carolina Music Hall of Fame 2013 Induction Ceremony

Kannapolis – The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame has announced the names of this year’s inductees. The ceremony will take place Thursday, October 17.

PERFORMING ARTISTS:

Alicia Bridges, Recording Artist (“I Love The Nightlife”), Lawndale, NC

Grady Tate, Jazz Drummer/Performer, (Drummer on the “Tonight Show with Johnny Carson”), Durham, NC

The Catalinas, Recording Artists (“Summertime’s Call Me”), Charlotte/Statesville, NC

John P. Kee, Gospel Recording Artist, (New Life Community Choir) Durham, NC

Willie Weeks, Musician, (Bass guitarist for Eric Clapton), Salemburg, NC

NON PERFORMING ARTISTS:

Tony Brown, Musician/Country Record Producer (George Strait, Reba McIntyre, Vince Gill, Jimmy Buffet), Greensboro, NC

“Rick” Dees, Radio Personality, (recorded novelty song, “Disco Duck”) Greensboro, NC

DECEASED:

Del Reeves, Country Recording Artist (“Girl on The Billboard”), Sparta, NC

The induction ceremony will take place Thursday, October 17th at historic Gem Theater in Kannapolis. The evening will include a reception, the induction ceremony and a variety of entertainment.  Advance sale tickets and reservations are available at the museum at 109 West A Street, Kannapolis.
